Why You Should Be Proud to Be an Entrepreneur

Proud EntrepreneurOperating a small business is no easy feat, and there are always people out there that will cock their head to the side when they ask what you do for a living and you say you’re an entrepreneur. There’s even a horrible joke out there that self-employed means unemployed.

Where’s the faith in the small business owner?

This little faith can discourage entrepreneurs. As the challenges come, it can be difficult to believe in yourself when people around you aren’t believing in you.

We’re here to tell you that you don’t need all of the people around you to build a successful business. You don’t need the critics bringing you down.

Why Entrepreneurs Should Be Proud

Entrepreneurship is something to be proud of, and it’s something you should celebrate every single day. Despite the challenges, there are many rewards to this career choice.

  • You make your own hours.
  • You can’t be turned down for a promotion.
  • You can do whatever you believe is good for your business.
  • You can work anywhere and everywhere.
  • You don’t have to answer to anyone.
  • You decide how much you want to make with the work you put into it and the choices you make.

When you are your own boss, you do whatever you want, when you want, where you want, and how you want. You are free. You are limitless.

Entrepreneurs Have The Best “Job”

You can do amazing things when you are free and limitless. Especially since you possess many awesome skills and attributes that combine to make you a great entrepreneur.

You are:

  • A creator
  • An organizer
  • A boss
  • A self-started
  • A risk taker
  • Creative
  • Self-disciplined
  • Innovative
  • Self-determined
  • Ambitious

How can anyone be against these qualities? They are what drive the world.

Join The Ranks of Other Great Entrepreneurs

Sit back for a moment and think about all of the great entrepreneurs. Where would we be without Steve Jobs and the Apple computer? All the iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Mac fans will cringe at that. What about Larry Page and Sergey Brin? We wouldn’t have Google if it weren’t for them. If you love coffee, you couldn’t imagine life without Starbucks, so thank Howard Schultz.

These entrepreneurs likely received a lot of slack for their ideas. They didn’t let it stop them though. They pushed the criticism to the side, and did what they felt was what they were meant to do. They trudged forward overcoming challenge after challenge until they hit a smooth course that led them to success.

What did they leave behind? All of the people standing on the tips of their toes trying to see how far ahead they got, as they remembered how they had their doubts.

Sounds satisfying, doesn’t it? Being able to use your strengths to achieve something great in your life is something you should hold on to every step of the way as you grow your business.

Always remember this is your life, and whatever you decide to do affects your life, not anyone else’s. No one should tell you how to live your life, so look in the mirror. See the person you truly are: Someone who is strong, smart, and ready to take on the business world with your creative innovations.
