When you use tips that have been advised by a lot of successful people, you are sure to see results. Here are some hacks that will help you get more productive.

1. Plan your day the night before

This helps you to review the day and then plan more effectively. This also means that you don’t begin your day trying to decide what to do and spending your precious energy on this when you can be working on your important tasks.

2. Do the most important thing first

When you begin for the day, your mind is the most alert, and you are full of energy. Use your current state to do the tasks that are the hardest or hold the highest priority. When you get the big stuff out of the way, it becomes easier to focus on the rest of the day with no big worries looming over your shoulder.

3. Follow the 2-minute rule

If something needs only 2 minutes to complete, then do it immediately. This ensures that you don’t have too much going on in your mind and your to-do list doesn’t keep on being cluttered with a lot of small tasks.

4. Avoid meetings

Meetings are usually considered to be a waste of time. Most successful people will tell you to avoid meetings as much as you can. If they are important and need to be done then try to cap them at 20-minutes. The way to do this is to prepare an agenda and follow it down to the T. If something needs to read for the meeting to happen, circulate that to everyone who is going to attend and ask them to go through it before the meeting.

5. Learn to say ‘No’

It can be an instinct to say yes to everything because saying no can be uncomfortable. You need to stop this habit if you need more time to work on your goals. If you keep saying yes to opportunities and favors, then you will lose out on your goals.

6. Using the phone only for emergencies

Phones can distract you from your work. It is advised to keep your phone farther from you so that you only get up for urgent phone calls. You can also put your phone on airplane mode at the beginning of the day to start the day on a productive note rather than procrastinating.

7. Follow your routine religiously

If you have a routine that works for you, try to not deviate from it. Try following a set routine every day, this helps you program your mind to get work done in the set time every day. When you do the same thing at the same time daily, it becomes a habit, and in turn, it becomes easier for you to get work done.
