6 Ways Entrepreneurs Can Use Video to Get Clients

If you’re an entrepreneur looking to get more clients, you should begin investing in a video marketing strategy. It’s because people nowadays prefer watching video content over other forms of activities like reading. Videos also generate more engagement on sites like Facebook, so you can reach more people when compared with content formats such as text and videos.

Therefore, to show you how to use videos to get clients I have shared my top tips below…

Share tips on social media:

Trust is low on social media these days. When people watch a video or see an image on social media, one of the first things that comes into their mind is, “is this true or fake?”

This is because fake news and scams are rampant on social media. People have been conned too many times by unscrupulous scammers.

Therefore, it is important for you to show that you aren’t like these people and that you’re genuine. One way to go about this is by creating videos full of tips. Think about who your audience is, what their biggest problems are, and then create videos that contain solutions to these problems.

Make sure that you create multiple versions of the video for different social media as different types of videos perform well on different social media. You can create one video, but you can edit the video’s dimensions and length to suit different social media.

Some top networks for sharing videos are Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

Team up with influencers:

Growing your social media accounts will take some time. This is why you should team up with influencers with bigger followings than you. You can ask them to share your video on their account and refer their followers to a landing page where they can sign for a consultation with you or you can send them to your account and ask them to follow you.

But be careful with the influencer you choose. They should have real followings and should be interested in your services. Most people make the mistake of choosing influencers with large fake followings and as a result, get bad results from influencer marketing. To find these influencers, you can use SocialBook. It will help you check their engagement levels and if their following is real.

Create gated video content:

One of the keys to getting clients is to build up your email list. Videos will help you build engagement and authority and the email list will help you generate sales. So, create video content like webinars and online courses. Sometimes the video content themselves will generate the sales, but if they don’t, you will have an email subscriber to reach out to and the rest of the funnel will get the job done.

Run live videos:

A good alternative to video content such as webinars is live video. These can generate more views than webinars as people don’t need to sign up for anything. Live videos can also generate more views than regular social media posts as they are a one-time event, people will want to watch it before it goes away.

If you do use live videos, make sure you have a plan instead of winging it. They need to be run just like webinars. In the beginning, you should have an introduction. This should be followed by powerful content, a pitch, and then of course a Q&A section.

To create sideways sales letters:

Have you heard of Product Launch Formula (PLF)?

This is a marketing technique from Jeff Walker where he took a regular sales page and converted it into a sideways sales letter. It comprises of four videos instead of a landing page. You might have come across this before. It’s used by a lot of people who sell online courses. The first three videos share content and in the final video, there is a sales pitch.

Entrepreneurs use this technique as it can generate a lot of sales. After you master the technique of creating other types of content you should try this out as it requires some work to put it together. If you want to implement it immediately, I recommend that you find a freelancer (or agency) who is good at it.

To retarget video views:

One thing many people don’t know is that you can retarget people who view your videos. On almost all the top social media you can create custom audiences comprising of people who viewed your organic video and then retarget them with another ad. This is a nice way to warm up your audience with free content and segment them based on interests before you use a paid technique.

This will improve your conversion rate and lower your ROAS. So, take advantage of it.

Conclusion:

These are the different ways entrepreneurs who sell online courses, coaching programs and consulting services can use video in their marketing. They will help you attract a lot of high paying clients.
